When you’re well enough to go home, your wound healing team will continue to provide the care you need on an outpatient basis.
Your wound healing team includes podiatrists, pedorthotists, family medicine physicians, nurse clinicians and educators, physical therapists and nutritionists. Because you’re at the area’s top hospital, you’ll have easy access to any of the specialists you may need, like plastic, general or vascular surgeons and pain control specialists. Your wound healing team will work together to heal your wound within 12 to 14 weeks and prevent your wound from coming back.
